HOW IT WORKS: A reservoir in the base of the product holds a surplus of water and liquid plant food. A disc of capillary matting on a platform above the reservoir has a wick which draws water up through the disc to feed the compost above the platform. This ensures even watering as required and prevents waterlogging. Unlike other systems, the reservoir is filled by initial watering through the compost which properly primes the system and starts the capillary action. Drainage holes prevent overfilling.
